WELCOME HOME…LITERALLY!
Here at The Valleys Church (formerly theBridge Salem Church), we believe that church isn’t just a place where you go on Sunday, but rather a community of friends meant to love, strengthen, support and inspire one another—just like a family. We believe this so intensely that we literally meet in homes across the Roanoke and New River Valleys. As we meet in "house churches," we build quality relationships through living life together as we eat, pray, worship and hear God’s word. But we do it on couches or around the dinner table...like they did in the book of Acts. Everything we do is purposeful—we’ve learned that these are the kinds of principles that encourage, foster and build relationships that turn into friendships that will last, eternally.
What is a house church? It so just like regular church. Except in a house. And a bit smaller.
About Our Church
Psalm 23
The LORD is my shepherd; I have what I need. He lets me lie down in green pastures; he leads me beside quiet waters. He renews my life; he leads me along the right paths for his name’s sake. Even when I go through the darkest valley, I fear no danger, for you are with me; your rod and your staff—they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; you anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. Only goodness and faithful love will pursue me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the LORD as long as I live. (CSB)
